Joey Gase on coming back to the Daytona 500: “It feels great”
Joey Gase is looking forward to his another Daytona 500 entry.
Joey Gase will make his third appearance in the Daytona 500 this year in the no.53 Rick Ware Racing. During the Daytona 500 media day, Gase shared his emotions on returning to The Great American Race.
“It feels great. The [Daytona] 500 is a dream come true. The funniest time I’ve had in my career in 2017, which was my first Daytona 500 start and we had a really good car”, said Gase. “On Cup side and also on Xfinity side we had an awesome day with our small-funded team.”
Joey Gase also shared how special Daytona 500 is: “Each time we come around for the 500… the environment, the atmosphere or otherwise watching… that’s really nothing you can compare to.”
Joey Gase’s 2021 Cup Series season will start next Wednesday during the Daytona 500 qualifying.
