The no.4 car driver got over the 2020 troubles quite quickly.

It goes without saying that Kevin Harvick had a season of his life back in 2020–9 race wins, regular season title and it all seemed like the 2014 Cup Series champion would go on to eventually win his second championship. However, it did not happen as the Stewart-Haas Racing driver had a mediocre run after the Round of 16 and got eliminated in the Round of 8. Harvick shared the reflection process after the season.

“As the season ended and we got about a week through [the offseason] I was done and over with it. I had a lot to do to move forward. In this business, you just don’t have time to dwell. If you want to continue to be good at what you do, you have to put your mind back to work and take the things that went wrong and make them better, refocus”, said the 2007 Daytona 500 champion.

Kevin Harvick also added: “You have to use those things as motivation in order to make those particular things better. I think those guys know that I feel like I’m wasting my breath talking about everything that happened last year, because we’ve talked about what went wrong and I’ve moved on and trying to be ready for this particular season to do the things that you need to do in order to get the season started right and be competitive on a week to week basis…”
